Cosentino's Sunfresh #448 is seeking a dedicated and skilled Deli Cook to join our team. This role requires a passion for food preparation and customer service, ensuring high-quality food production and a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong cooking skills, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This position involves early morning shifts, requiring excellent time management and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare a variety of deli items, including sandwiches, salads, and hot foods, following recipes and maintaining food quality.
• Operate grilling equipment to cook meats and other items to perfection.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries and ensuring satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to sanitation guidelines and food safety protocols.
• Assist with inventory management, including stocking, rotating products, and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operation and efficient service.
• Practice food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper handling and storage of food items.
• Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring all items meet established standards.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills with colleagues and customers.
• Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, fostering teamwork and positivity.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently.
• General knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Possession of a valid Food Handler's Card.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills, especially during peak hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
• ServSafe Certification.
• Experience in a deli or restaurant setting.
• Familiarity with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles.
• Experience with inventory management.
