SUMMARY:
The Ice Team Member will work during Abbotsford Canucks home games to assist with on-ice activities, including ice cleaning and promotions. This is a part-time, hourly, events-based position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Other duties may be assigned as required)
• Provide ice cleaning during time-outs
• Assist with on-ice set–up and execution of intermission contests as required
• Assist on-ice during games and other events as directed
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be a competent skater in hockey skates and have a high level of physical fitness
• Must be able to handle props & tools while skating (participation in on-ice auditions is required)
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by team schedule
• Must be able to work 75% of Abbotsford Canucks home games per month
• Solid team player
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact professionally with fans of all ages
• Knowledge of and a passion for professional hockey would be an asset
