About the role

The Lived Experience Research Coordinator will act as the key link between the research team and lived experience collaborators on the grant. The role involves coordinating activities, meetings and communications to support the effective delivery of the research project.

The postholder will serve as the main point of contact for lived experience collaborators, providing guidance, responding to queries, and ensuring involvement processes are accessible, well-organised and meaningful. The role includes supporting evaluation and feedback activities, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to clear communication and documentation across the project

About you

You will bring lived experience as a parent/care giver/guardian of a child/young person and who has accessed mental health services to support your mental health. Alongside this you will have experience of supporting patient and public involvement (PPI) or working with experts by experience. You will understand the importance of meaningful involvement and be committed to ensuring lived experience voices are valued, supported and embedded within research.

You will have experience working within the NHS and an understanding of how services operate. Experience in a university or research environment would be advantageous.

You will be highly organised, able to manage your own workload and prioritise competing demands effectively. You will be proactive, able to anticipate and raise issues, and confident working both independently and as part of a small team.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will be liaising with lived experience collaborators, researchers and other stakeholders. You will be approachable, responsive and able to explain processes clearly and sensitively.

You will also have good IT skills (including MS Office) and be confident maintaining accurate records and documentation.
