About this role

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding Lecturer in Health Services Research to join our team. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated colleague who can make a distinctive contribution to support the strategic aims of the Institute and department: to maximise potential grant income, increase research power and impact, to support early-career researchers, to ensure sustained high quality publication outputs and deliver high quality education. The appointee will have their own ongoing or developing internationally recognised health services research, teaching, and impact. This appointment is part of Professor Lindsay Bearne’s NIHR Research Professorship portfolio and applications are particularly welcomed from people with experience in rehabilitation and/or behavioural science research.

Key attributes of the successful applicant will include

a successful track record in high-quality collaborative research and actively seeking external research funding opportunities demonstrable experience of planning, organizing and managing education, learning and assessment activities experience as a supervisor for research students and/or mentor for clinical academic practitioners strong proficiency to manage time and workload effectively to meet competing priorities and deadlines excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills enthusiasm and personal initiative to solve problems, a self-starter with ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
