About this role

We are looking for an inspiring and enthusiastic colleague with a primary focus on cardiorespiratory physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Experience of wider physiotherapy and research disciplines would be favourable. This should be someone who shares our passion for high-quality physiotherapy education and has a strong vision for how education and research can transform health care.

The successful candidate will be a registered physiotherapist with the HCPC and have current or recent experience as an evidence-based clinical practitioner in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy and rehabilitation. You should have a strong professional profile that complements the team and be interested in research and/or evidence-based practice. Ideally you should have a postgraduate qualification.

The role will lie within the Subject group of ‘Rehabilitation and Health Professions’ which provides undergraduate and postgraduate pre-registration education on a breadth of courses. See https://www.leedsbeckett.ac.uk/school-of-health/rehabilitation-and-health-professions/

Our teaching facilities have been expanded with a focus on simulated learning with a new multi-million pound new Clinical and Multiprofessional Skills Suite which has two ten-bed hospital wards, a three-bedded hospital simulation space housing three simulation manikins and a purpose built living suite for simulation and practice in a home-like environment, among other resources.

For this post you will have:

Enthusiasm for delivering high quality curricula and programmes Excellent team skills Current or recent teaching experience in clinical settings and/ or Higher Education. An active approach to inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary working An active interest in research and/or service development
