As an Associate within the Risk Management and Compliance team, you will help the firm understand, manage, and anticipate risks in a constantly changing environment. The work covers areas such as reviewing portfolios for investment risks, liquidity risks, and counterparty risks, measured by risk sensitivities (e.g., Duration, Spread Widening, Equity Factors, etc.), Value at Risk, Stress Tests, and other position and portfolio metrics. Risk Management provides independent oversight and maintains an effective control environment. Job Responsibilities Perform deep dives, including analysis of stress tests, liquidity profiles, sustainability characteristics, performance, and comparison with the portfolio's risk profile. Carry out relevant investigations and escalate limit/threshold excesses; monitor market events that could significantly impact the business. Lead risk management initiatives to enhance control, oversight, and monitoring of risk measures. Liaise with and present findings to business partners such as Investment Directors and Portfolio Managers during risk reviews. Ensure that Risk Management procedures are followed and maintain Fund Risk Profiles for SICAVs. Prepare Risk Management presentations for Senior Management, Boards, and Regulators in EMEA. Represent Risk in governance forums such as Investment Director Reviews, Liquidity Forum, and new business initiatives. Develop enhancements to existing project processes and collaborate with Technology. Communicate with senior leadership to ensure accurate messaging on risk updates. Leverage technology skills to develop solutions that drive automation and innovation in our processes and risk analysis. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Strong understanding of Fixed Income markets, including product types, sectors, and associated analytics. Knowledge of standard risk metrics such as multi-factor stress testing, money market fund analytics, VaR, liquidity risk metrics, and sustainability risk metrics. Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain complex issues to non-specialized audiences. Willingness to deepen knowledge in risk disciplines such as portfolio theory, instrument valuation, and standard risk metrics (e.g., VaR, stress testing, ESG, liquidity risk, and sensitivities). Detail-oriented and committed to delivering work that meets the highest quality standards. Ability to act independently and achieve objectives with minimal supervision.
