Python Developer (F/M) adwäisEO Betzdorf (Luxembourg) CDI – Full Time Asap Senior The company adwäisEO is a fast-growing company, leader in the sector of it services related to the Space Ground Segment. Its clients are Space Agencies (i.e. ESA and Luxembourg Space Agency), public space organization (i.e. Mercator, Copernicus) and private companies. Among our projects: the biggest collaborative ground segment of Europe ( www.collgs.lu ) and the Data Archival, Management and Processing Services (DAMPS) for ESA ( www.damps.info ) that covers together the 80 % of ESA EO data, the systematic production of Sentinel-3A data and the reprocessing of Sentinel 2, so far the biggest reprocessing of the history. The company owns a relevant infrastructure with reference disk storage capacity of 70PB and a computing cluster with almost 1 Petaflops capacity. In order to meet the needs of its clients the infrastructure hosts multiple kinds of environment ranging from dedicated HPC solution to multi-hybrid cloud solutions. The position To strengthen its “Development department”, adwäisEO SA is looking for a talented experienced Python Developer for activities related to ingestion, archiving and dissemination of Earth Observation Data. She/he will contribute to the development of: • Interfaces for repatriation, and dissemination of satellite data; • Processing chains for satellite derived products • Job orchestration in an HPC/cloud environment; • Maintain and improve existing applications. Must Have Requirements • Degree in Computer Science or similar; • More than 5 years of experience in a similar position mandatory; • Excellent command of Python; • Excellent command of SQL (PostgreSQL preferred); • Good knowledge of Linux command line; • Good English skills (both spoken and written); • Good command of control version tools (i.e. GitLab, GitHub); • Good command of CD/CI techniques and tools • Flexibility to handle new tasks and challenges; • Willing to learn; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong teamwork; • Proactive; • Valid work permit for EU. Being considered as a plus: • Other programming languages (Java, C++, NodeJS, …) • Knowledge of docker and orchestration(i.e. compose, Kubernetes and/or Rancher); • French knowledge.
