Job Description Purpose of the role Own the product and solutions portfolio for ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks, driving profitable growth by turning customer needs into market-ready, manufacturable, high added value (HAV) offers. Main responsibilities and accountabilities Key success measures (first 12 months) Deliver 2–3 HAV launches (or equivalent customer approvals) with full industrial readiness and a design freezing case. Build and maintain a 12–18 month validated pipeline (min. 5 qualified opportunities) with clear milestones, owners, and risks. Improve portfolio performance by achieving an agreed margin uplift (e.g., +1~2 pts) through mix, pricing support, and cost-down actions. Reduce NPD execution friction by reaching ≥90% on-time milestone delivery for the active development portfolio. Strengthen customer impact by delivering 4–6 customer technical workshops and converting at least 2 into active projects. Key responsibilities Safety leadership Lead by example on Health & Safety and compliance with Life Saving Golden Rules; conduct regular shopfloor and layer interactions and contribute to prevent incidents. Portfolio ownership Manage the performance and competitiveness of the current product portfolio across sites (cost, margin, quality, and lifecycle profitability). Innovation & launches Identify opportunities, build business cases, and lead end-to-end development and launch of HAV products and solutions aligned with strategy and industrial capability. NPD governance Drive deliverables across all New Product Development (NPD) stages (scope, validation, industrialization, launch readiness), with clear milestones and risks. Customer value selling Translate technical value into clear customer propositions; support advanced engineering discussions and enable customer teams with tools, data, and training. Cross-functional leadership Coordinate closely with Global R&D, plants, quality, and sales to keep a robust pipeline and ensure solutions are manufacturable on a scale. Candidate profile Education Master's degree in an Engineering specialty Experience Strong engineering foundation and proven ability to lead cross-functional product work from concept to industrialization in a B2B/industrial environment. Technical experience Deep understanding of materials, metallurgy, and forming/joining processes; ability to connect design choices to manufacturing reality. Automotive product and customer knowledge (OEM/Tier-1) with experience supporting advanced engineering and launch readiness. Business acumen to build value propositions, quantify impact (cost/mass/CO2), and defend technical trade-offs. Product & leadership skills End-to-end product development discipline (requirements, validation, industrialization, launch) with structured risk and stakeholder management. Customer-, results-, and innovation-driven mindset; comfortable making decisions with incomplete data and escalating early when needed. Clear communication and reporting: turn complex topics into concise messages for customers, plants, and leadership. Personal skills Fluent business English (spoken and written) is mandatory. Strong networking and collaboration skills across functions and cultures; able to influence without formal authority. Project leadership in a multi-customer environment; able to prioritize, manage expectations, and keep momentum. High responsiveness and sound judgment; proactive in sharing information and enabling others.
