As a Small Engine Mechanic with 1 Resource Group, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing small engines used in construction and industrial equipment. Your expertise will ensure that machinery operates reliably and efficiently, minimizing downtime and supporting project success.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on small engines and equipment.Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues affecting small engines.Perform repairs and replacements of engine parts including carburetors, fuel systems, spark plugs, and filters.Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs.Ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards before deployment.Respond promptly to on-site breakdowns to reduce equipment downtime.Requirements
Skills & QualificationsProven experience repairing and maintaining small engines, including gas and diesel.Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems related to small engines.Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and use diagnostic tools.Proficient with hand and power tools.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work outdoors in construction or industrial environments.Preferred Qualifications1-3 years of relevant mechanical experience.Certification in small engine repair or related field is desirable.Experience working on construction job sites or similar environments.Work EnvironmentPhysical work involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.Exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.Fast-paced environment requiring quick response to equipment issues.Key StrengthsAttention to detail.Reliability and safety focus.Effective time management.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Benefits
