About this role
As an ECE Teacher, you will play an important role in planning, implementing, observing and documenting pedagogy for children aged **16**. You will work closely with colleagues, childcarers and families to create a calm, reflective and respectful learning environment where childrens voices are genuinely heard and their curiosity is supported. **Main responsibilities** - Plan, implement and document pedagogy in line with the Finnish early childhood education framework and Carousels Reggio Emilia inspired approach - Lead and evaluate the pedagogical work of the child group together with the team - Observe childrens learning, development and wellbeing and use this to guide planning - Build warm and trusting relationships with children and families - Support an inclusive, safe and emotionally responsive learning environment **Requirements** - Eligibility to work as a **varhaiskasvatuksen opettaja** in Finland - Strong spoken and written English - Finnish language skills are a strong advantage - Previous experience in Finnish early childhood education is appreciated - A collaborative, reflective and professional approach to teamwork - A valid criminal record extract for work with children in Finland before employment begins **We offer** - A supportive and creative team culture - Structured induction and leadership support - Calm, well-resourced learning environments - Competitive salary based on the private social services sector TES - Occupational healthcare - Staff wellbeing and appreciation events
