Job Overview:

We’re helping our client, a fast-growing DTC eCommerce brand, find a Performance Video Editor to create high-converting direct response ads across Meta and AppLovin.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Creative Strategist to transform scripts into compelling video ads that capture attention, stop the scroll, and drive conversions.

The ideal candidate understands that every editing decision is tied to performance, from shot selection and pacing to transitions and sound design, and has experience producing 30–120 second direct response ads for DTC brands.

This is an excellent opportunity for a data-driven editor who understands performance marketing and wants to work on ads that directly impact revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Creative Strategist to understand the concept, audience, and performance goal behind each script before editing.Select the best clips from large libraries of UGC footage, product shots, and B-roll to match each moment of the script.Edit 30–120 second direct response video ads optimized for platforms like Meta and AppLovin.Ensure all elements of the edit — pacing, captions, sound design, color grading, and transitions — contribute to conversion performance.Stay updated on emerging ad formats, editing styles, and trends in paid social advertising.Submit edits via Frame.io and provide walkthrough explanations of editing decisions using Loom.Quickly and accurately implement feedback from Frame.io and Loom comments.Analyze winning ads and apply insights to future edits to improve performance.Requirements

Must-Have:

2+ years of experience editing video ads for DTC brandsProficiency in Adobe Premiere ProExperience submitting work through Frame.ioComfortable receiving and implementing feedback through Frame.io and LoomPortfolio featuring video ads that ran on Meta or AppLovinProven experience editing 30–120 second performance-driven adsStrong shot selection instincts when working with large asset librariesExceptional attention to visual quality and detailAbility to deliver fast turnaround times without sacrificing qualityProactive mindset - contributes ideas rather than only executing instructionsAbility to clearly explain creative decisions through Loom recordingsUnderstanding of what makes direct response ads convert

Nice-to-Have:

Experience editing ads for kitchen, food, home goods, or health-focused DTC brandsFamiliarity with AppLovin ad formats and mobile-first editingBasic motion graphics or After Effects experience for text animations and captionsUnderstanding of performance metrics such as hook rate, thumb-stop ratio, and other direct response metricsExperience collaborating with UGC creators and providing feedback on footageFamiliarity with AI video tools such as Veo, RunwayML, or similar platforms

Portfolio Requirement

Candidates must submit a portfolio that includes video ads they personally edited for DTC brands that have advertised on Facebook or AppLovin.

Our client is looking for ads that actually ran and performed, not spec work or brand-only videos.
