Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Amazon Inventory and Demand Planner to join our planning team and manage end-to-end Amazon inventory planning and forecasting. This role will be responsible for Amazon demand planning processes, inventory optimization, and ensuring healthy stock levels across Amazon channels including US, UK, and CA marketplaces.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning & Forecasting

Develop and maintain monthly demand forecasts for Amazon channels (US, UK, CA) at Style-Color granularityManage 9-12 month planning horizon with weekly and monthly time buckets and outputsUtilize historical sales and inventory data inputs along with monthly master data updates like vendor lead times, duties & tariff ratesSupport forecasting accuracy targets and implement data-driven inventory tracking methodologiesUtilize various inventory forecasting methodologies like seasonality, exponential smoothing, linear regression, etc. and aided by AI/LLM, e.g. Anthropic’s Claude to predict future weekly demand.

Amazon Operations & Inventory Management

Handle replenishment planning, inbound shipment coordination, and storage fee optimizationPartner with the Amazon Operations Specialist to resolve inventory shortages, chargebacks, and inventory discrepancies between Seller Central and NetSuite ERPMake strategic FBA vs. FBM decisions during high-volume periods like Q4 and Prime DaysDetermine assembled kitting needs for inbound shipments to Amazon FBA and Coordinate with the Operations Team and 3PL partners to ensure timely execution and delivery of kitted SKUs.

Data Management & Analysis

Work with complex data sources including Amazon Seller Central, Netsuite and Looker. Apply transformation rules to compensate for data structure gaps and ensure data accuracyCollaborate with data team on sales and inventory input validation and transformation rulesSupport resolution of data quality issues and inventory tracking discrepancies

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Report to Planning leadership and work closely with DTC plannersCoordinate with warehousing, product, and sales teams on inventory allocation and availabilitySupport daily task reporting and maintain clear communication on workload and prioritiesParticipate in planning meetings and provide Amazon-specific insights for business decisionsRequirements

Required Qualifications

7+ years of Amazon FBA inventory management and demand planning experienceStrong proficiency in Excel and experience with Amazon Seller Central including FBA, FBM and Direct Import fulfillment models.Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and inventory management toolsProven track record in forecasting accuracy and data-driven decision makingUnderstanding of Amazon inventory health metrics, storage optimization, and FBA logisticsExperience in multi-channel, high-volume DTC + Amazon environments preferred

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with advanced planning tools beyond ExcelBackground in apparel or consumer goods inventory planningFamiliarity with BigQuery & Looker or similar data and data vizualization platformsExperience managing inventory across multiple Amazon marketplaces (US, UK, CA)
