SummaryEcho Neurotechnologies is developing novel Brain Computer Interface (BCI) products to restore autonomy to people living with disabilities and to improve quality of life. We are seeking a Sr. Hardware Engineer with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering to verify the Echo hardware system. The candidate will be responsible for evaluating custom Echo hardware devices and subsystems. The candidate will also drive development and implementation of custom test systems for design verification testing.

Primary Role and ResponsibilitiesDesign and prototyping of mechanical components and assemblies including rapid prototyping, machining, injection molding

Develop electromechanical test systems for characterizing and testing hardware devices

Develop test protocols, implement design verification testing, oversee testing with vendors

Perform analysis of test data, author technical reports, oversee test reports from vendors

Develop component and assembly drawings including tolerance stack-ups and analyses

Develop and execute design verification activities

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field

Minimum 7 years of industry experience in engineering electro-mechanical hardware devices

Experience with hands-on machining or rapid prototyping

Experience analyzing data from physical systems

Experience working within a quality system

Other QualificationsMaster’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

Strong collaboration mindset

Superior written and verbal communication skills

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

Occasional travel to vendors (<10%)
