Are you the Azure Security expert who can design and secure cloud environments in a critical infrastructure setting? We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Security Architect to support strategic transformation initiatives in a highly regulated, mission-critical environment. This role combines cloud architecture, cybersecurity, governance and enterprise-scale infrastructure design. Role As Azure Cloud Security Architect , you will define and govern secure cloud architectures, ensuring scalability, resilience and compliance while enabling modernization and innovation. You will work closely with security teams, infrastructure architects, platform engineers and business stakeholders to guide cloud security decisions and strengthen architecture standards across the organization. Key Responsibilities Design and govern secure end-to-end architectures on Microsoft Azure Translate business and security requirements into scalable, secure cloud solutions Define and maintain cloud security standards, patterns and reference architectures Drive architecture across: Azure landing zones Identity & access management Network security and segmentation Cloud platform security controls Security monitoring and resilience Governance and compliance controls Embed security-by-design and zero trust principles into cloud initiatives Support cloud transformation, modernization and risk reduction programs Contribute to architecture roadmaps and governance boards Guide stakeholders on complex cloud security and technology decisions Ensure compliance with regulatory and critical infrastructure requirements Profile Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience 5–8+ years in cloud security, infrastructure or architecture roles Strong hands-on and architectural experience with Microsoft Azure Expertise in Azure security services (IAM, Defender, networking, policies, monitoring, governance) Strong understanding of Zero Trust, security-by-design and enterprise security architecture Experience with architecture frameworks such as The Open Group TOGAF and AXELOS ITIL is a plus Knowledge of regulated environments, compliance and resilience requirements Experience with cloud governance, landing zones and security controls at scale Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Pragmatic mindset with the ability to influence across teams Certifications such as Azure Security, Azure Architect or CISSP are a plus Fluent in English (Dutch, French and/or German are a plus)
