We are looking for a MariaDB Database Administrator to join a dynamic environment managing critical data systems. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining high-performance, secure MariaDB database solutions. As a MariaDB Database Administrator, you will contribute to the optimization, reliability, and availability of our database environments. Role Install, configure, and maintain MariaDB servers in development, test, and production. Monitor and optimize database performance, queries, and schema design. Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues; perform root-cause analysis. Integrate MariaDB with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows. Document database configurations, processes, and procedures. Execute database migrations, upgrades, and clustering with minimal downtime. Profile Proven experience as a MariaDB Database Administrator. Deep knowledge of MariaDB architecture, replication (including Galera Cluster), and performance tuning. Strong SQL skills and familiarity with MariaDB-specific features. Experience with backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies. Familiarity with monitoring tools and database automation. Problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively. Preferred: Experience with cloud-based MariaDB deployments (Azure, AWS, GCP). Knowledge of containerized MariaDB deployments (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with MariaDB security best practices.
