Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must be 21 years of age. Must have experience mixing and serving alcoholic beverages, knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and ability to combine ingredients such as liquors, soda water, sugar, bitters, and fruit. Must be able to reorganize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed. Must be skilled in doing tasks with several steps and must use judgment in sequencing tasks. Must be able to follow simple oral instructions. Must be physically able to frequently lift, pull and push objects weighing objects weighing 40 pounds, and occasionally 'ill to and over 40 pounds. Must have the ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner. Must be able to communicate clearly with customers and possess skill in dealing with the public. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Subject to an uncommon tour of duty. Position is subject to furlough from approximately I November to 31 March of each year due to business slowdown caused by weather. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Major DutiesOperates a beverage cart and full-service bar following a variety of established recipes. Mixes and serves all types of alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages, following a variety of established recipes. When operating beverage cart, prepares hot dogs and brats by using the hot dog roller. Sells beverages, hot dogs, brats and snacks to patrons and receives payment and/or charges member's accounts directly. Sets up beverage cart for operation to include stocking cart with ice, soda, beer, snacks, brats, hot dogs, etc. Responsible for cleaning and washing beverage cart, removing all trash, and refueling daily. Performs inventory of beverage cart at the beginning and end of each shift. Assists the snack bar staff as needed. When bar tending, washes glasses and other bar equipment. Prepares garnishes for mixed drinks. Stocks service bar or portable bar for catered functions. Responsible for the proper operation of the bar, sales receipts, and inventory accountability. Accepts payment, operates a POS, and prepares documentation for funds accountability. Performs other related duties as assigned. Often works outdoors and is subject to the elements of the weather. May work Inside with adequate lighting, heat, and ventilation. Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages. Subject to cuts. bruises, and chapped hands.
