Are you a hands-on Service Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working directly with customers?
At **Teradyne GmbH**, we develop the advanced semiconductor test solutions that help power the world's most innovative technologies—from artificial intelligence and high-performance computing to next-generation electronics.
We're looking for a **Service Engineer / Servicetechniker** to join our Semiconductor Test team in Central and Northern Europe. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a leading AI industry customer while building expertise on cutting-edge Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
For the first 9–18 months, you will primarily support a major customer in **Achim, Germany** (approximately 75% of your time). As your experience grows, your focus will expand to supporting customers across Europe.
**Key responsibilities**
As a key technical expert, you will:
- Install and commission semiconductor test systems, upgrades, and software packages - Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex hardware and software issues - Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers and colleagues - Lead customer escalations and drive issues to resolution - Deliver service and maintenance training to customers - Document solutions, lessons learned, and best practices - Contribute to continuous improvement and productivity initiatives - Travel regularly within Europe and occasionally globally.
**About you**
- 3+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry or another advanced technical environment - Education within Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field - Qualification to perform independent electrical work under German regulations (Elektrofachkraft or equivalent) - Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills - Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint - A proactive and self-driven approach with a passion for learning - Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset - Fluent English skills, both written and spoken - Basic German skills or willingness to develop them - A valid driver's license.
