About this role
As an EMC Test Engineer, you will join our team in Portsmouth to support our activities within the Space sector.
You will support the testing and validation of electronic systems to ensure compliance with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements within a high-reliability engineering environment. Working within a laboratory setting, you will carry out low voltage DC testing and support verification activities on RF and electronic hardware to ensure systems meet strict performance and regulatory standards.

Perform EMC and electrical testing on electronic and RF hardware systemsConduct low voltage DC testing as part of verification and validation activitiesExecute structured test procedures and accurately record test resultsSupport fault finding and troubleshooting during EMC and electrical test campaignsUse laboratory test equipment to verify system performance against engineering requirementsProduce clear technical reports and maintain traceable test documentationWork collaboratively with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance with programme standards Required Skills:
Experience performing low voltage DC testing on electronic systemsUnderstanding of EMC testing principles or electromagnetic compatibility requirementsHands-on experience using electronic test equipment in a laboratory environmentAbility to follow detailed test procedures and technical documentationStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsRequired Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.Experience working within aerospace, space, defence, or electronics testing environmentsDesirable Skills:
