About this role
As a Quality Engineer, you will join our Birmingham team to support our activities within the Energy sector.
You will lead and assure the Quality Management System (QMS) for projects involving mechanical pumping systems, electrical installations, control & instrumentation, and WIMES-compliant equipment.
You will play a critical role in ensuring that all testing, inspection, and acceptance criteria required by the Scope/Works Information, NEC3 Section 4, and WIMES specifications are met and fully evidenced for Completion and Takeover.

Lead and implement the Project Quality Plan in line with NEC3 ECC Section 4 and Works Information.Develop and manage MEICA Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) across pumps, MCCs, electrical installations, controls and instrumentation.Coordinate and oversee FAT, SAT, commissioning and performance testing activities.Ensure full compliance with WIMES specifications and verify supplier documentation and manufacturing standards.Manage Test & Inspection Registers, hold/witness points and Supervisor notifications under NEC3.Control NCRs, CAPA, concessions and retesting processes to achieve first-time pass performance.Maintain Defects Register and support structured close-out prior to Completion and Takeover.Collate and manage all quality documentation within the CDE to support handover and asset data requirements. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent military experienceISO 9001 Lead Auditor (IRCA or equivalent)NEC3 accreditation (Supervisor or PM training)Strong experience in MEICA installations and pumping systemsUnderstanding of WIMES standardsCSCS/SMSTS or equivalent SHE qualificationDesirable Skills:
Membership of CQI (Practitioner or Chartered)Water industry / AMP programme experienceNDT/Welding inspection (CSWIP/PCN)CompEx or electrical authorisation familiarity Why join us?
