The Opportunity

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EDF EPR Engineering) is part of Edvance, a joint venture between EDF and Framatome. The team designs and delivers the nuclear island for Hinkley Point C and leads replication for Sizewell C as part of An Electric Britain. #HinkleyPointC #SizewellC

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll lead the SZC Mechanical branch contracts, overseeing delivery of mechanical equipment and valve scopes. You’ll drive consistency in design replication from HPC to SZC, manage risks, guide engineering teams and coordinate suppliers across the UK, France and Germany.

Build and deliver the List of Deliverables, including revisions from SZC CoContribute discipline input for Task Order quotationsDeliver scope to the allocated budget and schedule, reporting against Level 4 plansSet priorities, allocate resources and manage technical interfacesEscalate delivery risks to trigger NSA contract change mechanismsFoster contractual mindset on fixed price and incentivised KPIsCoordinate learnings between HPC and SZC teamsResolve non‑conformances from other contractorsReview and approve documents within contractual timescales and KPIs

Who You Are

Master’s degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Scientific disciplineExperience in nuclear mechanical equipment design, manufacture or operationsProven experience leading small engineering teamsStrong focus on safety and quality with knowledge of nuclear safety principlesUnderstanding of equipment interfaces across safety case, systems engineering and CDMContract management and documentary surveillance skillsExperience of UKDC, UKICM, OPM, CEMAR and

Desirable

Knowledge of EDF France teams and stakeholdersUnderstanding of EPR or general PWR designProject controls skills for managing schedules and budgets

Location, Work Style and Travel

This is a hybrid role based from our #AztecWest office in #Bristol, typically 3 days on‑site per week. Occasional travel to #HinkleyPointC and #SizewellC, with periodic collaboration in #France and #Germany.

Security, Right to Work and Vetting

This role requires the ability to obtain BPSS and Security Check (SC) clearance. You must have the right to work in the UK.
