About this role

We are seeking a Associate Scientist to perform mRNA production and mRNA process development. The candidate will do in vitro transcribed (IVT) mRNA production, mRNA purification, and perform analytical characterization under appropriate supervision.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Perform production and purification of in vitro transcribed (IVT) mRNATroubleshoot experiments and instrumentation, especially chromatographic purification and TFF filtrationQuality control analysis of mRNA products including gel electrophoresis, Dot blot, UV, etc.Develop new techniques for mRNA process development at small and large-scale production of mRNADemonstrate skill in multiple techniques and appropriately modify protocols, as required, to suit the changing needs of research or development sciences.Maintain appropriate lab notebooks and electronic recordsUnderstand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, and appropriate handling of materials and drug substances Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent education, with typically 3 or more years’ experience or Master’s Degree or equivalent education (no additional experience).Basic understanding and hands-on experience with AKTA systems and Unicorn software and TFF techniques are preferredDetail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently, within prescribed guidelines, and as a team member.Ability to draft routine reports and keep accurate records of work performed.Able to learn complex tasks with general instructions.Able to use experience to perform a variety of new techniques.Demonstrated ability to follow detailed directions in a research laboratory environment. The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. ​

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs. ​
