The Opportunity

Are you looking for a role where logistics supplier management, transport compliance, and safety leadership come together?

We’re recruiting a Logistics Category Specialist to join Holcim UK in a regional role supporting our outsourced logistics network across the South East.

This is a field-based role focused on managing haulier relationships while ensuring the highest safety and compliance standards are maintained across our carrier network. Acting as the “eyes and ears” of the logistics team on the ground, you’ll work closely with hauliers, transport managers, and operational teams to drive performance, challenge unsafe behaviours, and support Holcim’s Zero Harm culture.

You’ll spend time carrying out vehicle inspections, supplier audits, telematics reviews, and safety interventions, while also supporting supplier performance reviews, tactical sourcing activity, and regional logistics initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

Acting as the primary regional contact for hauliers and logistics suppliers, managing day-to-day operational queries and supplier relationships

Conducting regular vehicle inspections, haulier audits, and site visits to ensure compliance with safety, maintenance, and operational standards

Monitoring telematics and driver performance data to identify safety risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement

Supporting investigations into incidents, near-misses, and non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are completed

Reviewing supplier documentation including O-Licences, MOTs, insurance, and driver compliance records to maintain regulatory standards

Working closely with operations, procurement, and logistics leadership to balance supplier performance, service delivery, compliance, and cost

Who you are

You have experience working with hauliers, transport providers, or 3PL networks within logistics, fleet, or transport operations environments.

You understand transport compliance, road safety standards, and supplier performance management, ideally within heavy transport, construction materials, or industrial logistics.

You’re confident conducting inspections, audits, or operational compliance checks, and comfortable challenging unsafe behaviours when required.

You enjoy building strong supplier relationships while maintaining high standards and holding partners accountable.

We are committed to building a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. You will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or age.
