UCL's Higher Education Development and Support Institute (HEDS) brings together UCL Arena (UCL’s Centre for Research-based Education) and UCL Careers.

About the role

In this job you'll lead the establishment, launch and management of the UCL Award, a framework to support student skills development, articulation and recognition.

This key institutional priority requires careful, strategic thinking and cross-institutional collaboration to ensure that this recognition framework sits as part of a wider ecosystem which includes skills programmes extracurricular activity and support mechanisms such as Personal Academic Tutoring. You will work collaboratively across a wide range of stakeholders to roll out and manage the Award, including central teams, faculties, Careers, the Students’ Union, and Innovation and Enterprise.

This role will support and empower students to thrive in a rapidly evolving world and we need a motivated, forward-thinking individual who can collaborate effectively to drive this area of work.

About you

Things you'll need in order to do this job include:

Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience Experience of setting up and delivering a programme of work for taught students, preferably in Higher Education Experience of delivering skills-related activity to students, preferably in a Higher Education environment Experience of working with a diverse range of stakeholders across different levels of seniority Experience of events management including using booking systems, writing communications and evaluating events Experience of juggling different projects which may have competing demands
