This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest and passion for postgraduate teaching to work within a Department offering high quality competitive postgraduate taught programmes.
The National Heart and Lung Institute is seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow to join a team of passionate educators teaching on our MSc Allergy programme. The programme offers PG cert, PG Dip and MSc qualifications. You will be working alongside the Programme Directors; Module Leads and NHS staff to deliver the programme.
What you would be doing:
You will support an excellent student experience and help NHLI’s academic and teaching staff to deliver a world-class education in Allergy through responsibilities including:
Providing guidance and support to Module Leaders including developing timetables and updating teaching materials Acting as module lead on two modules: Diagnosis and Treatment of Allergic Disease MSc Project Module (Research Skills in Allergy) Delivering hybrid teaching and assessments via various learning platforms Developing of marking criteria and assessment processes across all modules and research projects.
What we are looking for:
The successful candidate will hold a BSc (or equivalent) in a relevant health sciences or biomedical discipline as well as teaching experience in a Higher Education setting. A higher degree or PhD in a relevant subject is desirable. You must be able to work well within a team environment, have enthusiasm for teaching and willingness to learn new skills to support education.
