Job Summary: The HRIS Specialist is responsible for administering, optimizing, and supporting the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and related applications. This role ensures data integrity, system functionality, and timely delivery of HR data and analytics. Operating with a customer-centric and consultative approach, the HRIS Specialist partners with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to assess needs, recommend solutions, and support enhancements throughout the technology development life cycle (requirements, design, testing, deployment, and sustainment).
Job Description:
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of HR data; execute routine and complex HRIS transactions, audits, and reconciliations.
• Perform system updates, data loads, mass changes, configuration reviews, and troubleshoot data discrepancies.
• Partner with Transformational and HR areas of expertise, HRBPs, Payroll, and IT to analyze requirements, translate business needs into system solutions, and support process improvements.
• Deliver recurring and ad‑hoc HR reports for areas such as compensation, classification, staffing, and employee relations.
• Support the implementation of system enhancements, integrations, and upgrades using TDLC steps (requirements gathering, UAT coordination, documentation, deployment).
• Provide customer service to HR and business users by responding to inquiries, resolving system issues, and guiding users through system functionalities.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, digital security, records management, and audits.
• Support HR governance, policy development, metrics, and performance review cycles.
• Liaise with external vendors as needed, assisting in testing, configuration validation, and change management.
• Participate in emergency support functions, including storm restoration activities as directed.

Additional Job Description: Education
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience
• 5 years' experience with functional role responsibilities, and working with data collection, analysis and interpretation.
• Experience with system configuration or module administration.
• Experience working with documents, policies, SOP creation and implementation.
• Experience leading or collaborating with small projects.
• Experience as matter-expert and asset resource to provide support to internal/external clients.
License/Certifications Preferred
• HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) or HRIS certification.
