What We Are Looking ForPersado is looking for a Brazilian Portuguese Content Localizer & Proofreader, eligible to work as a Freelance Contractor, joining our growing team.
What You Will Work On:
Collaborate with Brand Content Strategists to understand client requirements and campaign objectivesAssist in crafting compelling content that inspires action, ensuring adherence to brand voice and toneCarefully proofread and edit content to ensure impeccable spelling, grammar, and syntax tailored for the Brazilian marketEnsure that client revisions and tone of voice guidelines have been accurately implementedEnsure compliance with our clients' complex brand guidelines and legal requirementsWhat You Bring:
Language & ExpertiseExceptional command of Brazilian Portuguese (Native level), with a deep understanding of grammar, syntax, and orthographic rulesA Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Journalism, or a related field is highly preferred; a Master’s degree is considered a strong plusFlawless writing and proofreading skills tailored to the Brazilian market, with impeccable attention to detail and a commitment to delivering perfect contentFluency in English (written and verbal) is required for internal collaborationExperience & Industry Knowledge2-4 years of professional copywriting/proofreading experienceExperience in B2C digital marketing or advertisingFamiliarity with brands that have strict tone of voice and legal guidelinesUp-to-date with Brazil pop culture and current eventsMarketing & Content CreationAbility to adopt and maintain brand voice across different clientsExperience with multiple marketing channels (paid media, email, web, SMS, direct mail)Technical & Software SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)Knowledge of CMS, HTML, graphic design, and email platforms (preferred)Work Approach & AvailabilityClient-facing experience is a plusExcellent organizational and communication skillsEfficient, proactive, adaptable, and able to work under tight deadlinesFlexible availability within Americas business hours (typically 09:00 – 17:00 BRT/EST), ensuring a consistent overlap with both EMEA (Athens Greece) and US-based teams for seamless collaboration
