We’re Hiring | Cluster Finance Controller An exceptional career opportunity for a senior hospitality finance leader to join two ultra-luxury resort hotels in Sardinia in a cluster leadership role. We are seeking a strategic, commercially minded Cluster Finance Controller to lead financial operations, controls, and business performance across two flagship luxury properties.
Primary ResponsibilitiesFinancial Control:
overseeing all sales, purchasing, salaries and expensesImplementing and reviewing Financial policies Audit compliance including actioning recommendations and liaising with internal stakeholdersFinancial Reporting:
Production of monthly financial reporting GAAPOverseeing budgeting & forecasting process and long term planningMonthly and annual reporting Financial Performance:
Responsible for monitoring budgets and for reporting major deviations of over-expenditure, under-budgeting or non-compliance to the approved budget Business partner with two General Managers implementing controls, solutions, and action plans Assist the General Managers in establishing local policies, rules, internal controls and safeguards that ensure profitability and control of operationsAdvise and provide counsel to the General Managers, HODs and finance teams on all financial matters
Treasury & TaxTreasury management, cash planning, reviewieng the cash position in order to optimize the use of funds and minimize the volume of cash being held in the businessReview all changes of tax laws and accounting policies, assess their implications on the business and ensure the finance team implements appropriate changesOther Support the financial function of any opening of new products.Assist with the accounting related to any hotel or other asset sales, product closure and ownership changesTogether with the General Managers, manage the relations with third party, owners and/or partnersFacilitate the best communication and reporting between the Belmond regional office in Milan and the Cheval Blanc corporate offices in ParisCommunicate relevant information to the Divisional Financial Controllers and the General Managers,
Requirements
Proven experience as Director of Finance / Financial Controller in luxury or ultra-luxury hotels or resorts Strong cluster / multi-property exposure preferred Solid leadership skills with commercial mindset and hands-on approach Fluent in English and Italian
