Our client in Brussels is looking for a Software Architect to join their team. This company is known worldwide for their GIS solutions for various sectors. In doing so, they help larger players, local governments, universities, map providers including NATO and Proximus with spatial analysis, map making and location intelligence to make better informed decisions. They also provide training and support to their customers in Belgium and Luxembourg. In doing so, they use the latest technologies. To support their growth, they are currently looking for a Software Architect. Some of your duties include: You lead the architecture and design of the GIS Foundation. You work with business, GIS and IT stakeholders to develop a GIS architecture that meets functional requirements. You design GIS environments with a focus on business continuity, deployment (on-prem/cloud), security, governance and application architecture. You define the technical methodology for implementation. You contribute to technical analyses, such as requirements gathering and gap analyses. You are responsible for design documentation. You supervise the project team and monitor compliance with the architectural design. Profile Master's degree in computer science, geography, GIS or other relevant field. Experience as a Software Architect in GIS Excellent communicator who can brainstorm with clients and document solutions. You are fluent in English, Dutch or French and ready to become trilingual.
