Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based interventions to improve functional independence, upper extremity function, cognition, and activities of daily living.
• Utilize the ADL Suite to deliver realistic, goal-oriented functional training.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, residents, and families to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in accordance with California practice guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, recertifications, and discharge summaries.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences, discharge planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques, home exercise programs, safety recommendations, and equipment use.

Qualifications
• Current California Occupational Therapist (OT) license in good standing.
• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical reasoning skills.
• Passion for patient-centered rehabilitation and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• New graduates and internationally trained therapists are encouraged to apply.
