Overview: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details:

Registered Nurse

Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO Department: Emergency Department Status: Full-Time - 36 hours/week Shift: 12 Hours (TBD)

• ASN to BSN Bridging Program to assist in obtaining your BSN (up to $16,000).

• BSN to MSN Bridging Program to assist in obtaining your MSN (up to $16,000).

• RN Loan Forgiveness Program to aide in paying off your RN student loan debt.

• Up to $370 per month directly towards loan payments ($20,000 cap).

• Must start with Mercy within 12-months of graduation.

Qualifications: Education: Graduated from an approved or accredited school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN). Licensure: Must be eligible to take board of nursing exam. Experience: None. Certifications: Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period. Other: Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Stand and walk most of the time on duty. Meet unit specific physical demands. Significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequency according to patient care requirements. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: Unit Specific
