About this role
• Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases. • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot performance issues. • Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures. • Create and manage database objects such as tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures. • Monitor database health, storage utilization, and system availability. • Implement and maintain database security, user roles, and permissions. • Execute database patching, upgrades, and migration activities. • Troubleshoot database-related incidents and provide root cause analysis. • Work with developers to optimize SQL queries and improve database performance. • Support high availability solutions such as SQL Server Always On, Log Shipping, and Replication. • Ensure compliance with organizational security and data governance standards. • Maintain database documentation and operational procedures. Required Skills
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server. • Strong knowledge of SQL queries, T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and functions. • Experience with database backup and recovery processes. • Understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques. • Knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). • Familiarity with indexing, query execution plans, and database monitoring tools. • Basic understanding of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) concepts. • Experience with Windows Server environments. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
