About this role
LCCA seeks a Course Director to drive innovative, industry-focused hospitality programmes in a vibrant, interdisciplinary setting.
About LCCA
London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA) is a specialist higher education institution in central London, offering career-focused degrees across hospitality, business and the creative industries. We are part of Global University Systems, an international education group that empowers students to transform their lives through education.
Staff are encouraged to try new ideas, work across departments and help students understand the rich intersections between creativity, culture and business. It is a place where imaginative thinking is valued, small ideas can grow quickly, and academic colleagues champion each other’s successes.
For the Course Director, this means joining an institution that encourages experimentation, teamwork and professional growth — and where your contribution will make a genuine and visible difference to the student experience.
About the role
You will provide academic leadership across two undergraduate programmes: Hospitality Management and Hospitality Management & Leadership. This includes curriculum design, module planning, assessment oversight, quality assurance and the day‑to‑day coordination of delivery across Levels 4, 5 and 6.
This role blends academic leadership with direct student contact. The postholder will teach for six hours per week each term, ensuring they remain actively engaged with student learning.
Who we are looking for
You will be an educator and academic leader who brings experience, professionalism and enthusiasm for both hospitality and higher education, with a relevant BA and postgraduate qualification and experience in hospitality, events and/or tourism.
In addition to relevant industry experience, involvement in curriculum development, assessment design and academic quality processes at Levels 4-6 is essential.
The role requires someone capable of overseeing programme delivery across day, evening and split‑mode teaching and who is comfortable contributing to weekend teaching, particularly half‑day sessions where needed.
Strong organisational habits and the ability to coordinate across these delivery modes will be essential. With 17 direct reports, candidates will need to demonstrate successful line management experience and the ability to command the respect of a strong and diversely talented staff team.
Ultimately, we seek someone who is collaborative, curious and genuinely cares about student success; and you will be excited by the potential of hospitality education to open doors and shape futures.
Please note that the successful applicant must provide right to work in the UK documentation to LCCA as part of an offer.
