About this role
We are recruiting for a Technical Project Manager with experience in automotive, aerospace/MoD, or similar complex manufacturing environments to start ASAP on a 6 month contract. This is a hybrid role based out of Manchester. The requirement is 1-2 days per month in Manchester.
Experience & Skillset:
Strong project management backgroundExperience working within structured programme environmentsAwareness of milestone gatewaysUnderstanding of software release processes (and ideally some hardware exposure)Strong stakeholder management skillsHigh standard of reporting, escalation, and intervention where neededAGILE experience is a benefit, but awareness is sufficient
Strong Experience in:
System level thinking – Managed complex, multi system (cloud, edge, hardware) integrationsCross functional technical management – Aligned firmware, backend, hardware, and security teamsTechnical fluency – Strong grasp of APIs, data flows, networking, and cybersecurityIntegration focus – Drove system integration, validation, and release coordinationHardware/IoT exposure – Experience with connected or cloud ecosystemsRegulatory awareness – Worked in safety- or compliance-driven environments
