About the OpportunityThe Demand Writer Assistant supports consumer protection attorneys by managing bilingual client communications and demand-related processes. This associate-level position involves coordinating settlements, processing documentation, and maintaining correspondence with insurance adjusters. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment. Key responsibilities include client follow-up, lien processing, and administrative support throughout the demand lifecycle. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential for effective client service.

ResponsibilitiesManage bilingual client communications in English and Spanish throughout the demand processCoordinate settlement negotiations and release documentation with insurance adjustersProcess and maintain accurate documentation and lien records for all casesConduct systematic follow-up with clients and insurance representatives to advance case resolutionSupport demand writers with administrative tasks and correspondence managementRequirements
RequirementsProfessional bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with ability to communicate effectively with clients and adjustersAvailability for full-time work during 8 AM - 5 PM PST work hoursDemonstrated experience handling legal documentation including releases, CMS forms, PLED waivers, and 1.5.1 formsStrong phone communication skills with capability to manage inbound and outbound client and insurance adjuster interactionsOrganizational skills sufficient to maintain comprehensive client files and systematically track case-related documentationProven ability to coordinate settlements and obtain signed legal documents from clients and relevant partiesExperience processing and following up on medical and legal liens and subrogation mattersExperience managing professional correspondence via mail and electronic communication channelsSome college coursework completed, indicating foundational professional and communication skillsAbility to accurately take and relay messages between internal legal team membersBenefits
