Responsibilities
As an Associate on the Underwriting Specialist team you will:
● Review and recommend a decision on residential conforming and heloc mortgage loans.
● Evaluate the borrowers ability to repay and analyze the risk associated with the loan application based on applicants financial profile.
● Perform thorough analysis of applicant's income and expense data, asset documentation, and credit reports in order to affirm borrower qualifies for loan
● Ensure that loan files contain all necessary documents
● Review and clear all necessary tasks within authority level.
● Analyze daily pipeline reports and ensure files and tasks are cleared within required SLA’s.
About you
We are looking for an Underwriting Specialist Associate that can quickly learn the intricacies of underwriting. We’ll be looking for the following characteristics during our search for you:
● Prior US mortgage underwriting knowledge is not mandatory: however familiarity with basic mortgage concepts and common underwriting documents will be considered and advantage.
