Operations @ Wealthsimple
We have a high-performing IT Operations team, one that is offering the critical daily support we all need. They’re looking for a talented new person, someone who can help keep the desktop/mobile fleet well-oiled and provide any necessary related services. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT team, as the additional tech support hero/heroine that Wealthsimplers deserve. Their focus will be on expanding our mobile device lineup, maintaining our technical standards and AV systems within our offices, as well as helping serve WS’s laptop fleet of Mac’s and PC’s. This role offers the right person the opportunity to help guide Wealthsimple's IT division in its mission to make our lives better, and simpler!
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Maintain, troubleshoot, and inventory Wealthsimple's fleet of Mac’s, Mobile Devices, PC’s and office equipment while providing Wealthsimplers with top-notch technical and moral support, escalating when necessary
Schedule and perform preventative maintenance, firmware and software upgrades. Help to develop and maintain technical documentation and processes
Proactively identify opportunities to make things better. Suggest improvements and deploy new technologies to support Wealthsimple's rapid growth
Use a ticketing system for tracking issues, troubleshooting, user support and internal communications
Work with a dynamic team where roles are fluid but goals are unified. Expect to learn skills beyond the role, and continuously improve your craft
Build relationships and trust both with the immediate team as well as our internal customers
We are looking for someone who:
Has exceptional communication skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical folks
Plans, organizes, and schedules in an efficient, productive manner
Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and copes effectively with complexity and change
Has a passion for the setup, deployment and maintenance of computers and other hardware for our end-users
Is eager to teach and learn from your team. We value making each other successful!
Is willing to find solutions to problems you've never seen before and distill complex problems into simple solutions
Is available to work minimum 3 days onsite at our Toronto office
Skills we are looking for:
Expert-level knowledge of iOS and Android with a minimum of 2+ years of prior experience
Comprehension of productivity suites such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
Experience with SaaS technologies (e.g. Jira, Slack, 1Password, Adobe,etc...)
Experience working with a ticketing system (e.g Jira Service Desk)
Familiar with A/V and remote presence technologies, both hardware and software (e.g. Zoom VC, Google Meet)
Comfortable troubleshooting the occasional PC
Nice to have:
Experience in workflow design and automation (eg. Okta Workflows, Workato)
Familiar with basic networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP
Knowledge of AV industry standards, manufacturers and technologies
Experience working with a Device Management [MDM] platform (e.g .Jamf, Intune )
Familiar with managing an Identity Provider [IdP] platform (e.g. Okta or Google)
