About this role
We are supporting a major UK nuclear infrastructure programme at Hinkley Point C.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-level engineer or technical professional to join as a Configuration Controller, supporting the management and control of critical engineering documentation across a large-scale infrastructure project.
This role would suit candidates from civil engineering or technical backgrounds who are highly organised, detail-oriented, and interested in working within a regulated engineering environment. This is not a design role but focuses on document control, configuration management, and engineering governance.
Key Responsibilities:
Support configuration control of engineering and project documentationReview and manage redline drawings and engineering changesEnsure engineering documentation aligns with project and regulatory standardsTrack and manage document revisions and change requestsSupport engineering and project teams with document accuracy and complianceIdentify discrepancies and coordinate resolution with stakeholdersMaintain configuration records and ensure traceability of changesWork closely with multidisciplinary teams across engineering and project functions Required Skills:
2-4 years experience in an engineering, technical, or document control roleStrong organisational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectivelyStrong communication skills and confidence working with engineering teamsProactive mindset and ability to work independentlyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsRequired Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.Desirable Skills:
Experience managing engineering documentation or drawingsFamiliarity with configuration control or document management processesExperience working in construction, infrastructure, nuclear, or regulated industriesUnderstanding of change management processesKnowledge of nuclear or major infrastructure projectsAwareness of the Hinkley Point C programme Why join us?
