About this role
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Duty Engineer to join our Engineering team in Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring smooth operations and a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff. You will respond to maintenance requests, coordinate preventive maintenance, and support engineering projects in alignment with the brand standards of Sofitel.
Respond promptly to guest and departmental maintenance requests, ensuring timely and efficient resolutionConduct routine inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other engineering systemsPerform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of assetsAssist in troubleshooting and repairing equipment, systems, and fixturesMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory usageCoordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or projectsEnsure compliance with safety, fire, and environmental regulationsAssist in energy management and implement sustainable practicesContribute to overall guest satisfaction by maintaining a safe and functional hotel environmentMaintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and professional conduct in the engineering department Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant field)Proven experience in hotel engineering, facilities management, or similar roleStrong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safetyAbility to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems efficientlyStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProficient in using maintenance management software and MS OfficeAbility to work under pressure and handle multiple tasksWillingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidaysStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety standardsPositive attitude, proactive mindset, and eagerness to learn
