A newly funded cybersecurity startup in Berlin is looking for a Frontend Engineer(React) to join as a founding team member and help design the core security, identity, and enforcement foundations of a next-generation AI-powered security risk management platform.
We are an early-stage startup founded by experienced cybersecurity leaders with backgrounds in Israeli Intelligence units. We are looking for a hands-on Founding Frontend Engineer(React) for a hybrid role based in central of Berlin. We’re building a next-generation cyber risk platform that helps enterprises understand, measure, and reduce identity risk at scale. Our goal is to turn complex identity and security data into clear, actionable risk insights that CISOs and CTOs can trust. You will work from scratch on core platform components from day one, shaping how modern enterprises manage and reason about risk using cloud-native systems and AI-driven analysis and automated enforcement through AI Agents.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain frontend applications using React and Typescript
Design and build the frontend architecture of the platform from scratch
Develop high-quality, performant, and secure user interfaces for a complex cybersecurity and risk management product
Build dashboards and visualizations that turn complex identity and security data into clear, actionable insights
Collaborate closely with backend, data, and AI engineers to define APIs, data contracts, and user flows
Own frontend state management, performance optimization, and UI architecture decisions
Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access patterns on the frontend
Ensure high standards for UX, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices
Establish frontend engineering best practices, testing, and code quality standards
Rapidly prototype new features and iterate based on user feedback
Contribute to product decisions by balancing usability, security, and technical constraints
Debug and resolve complex frontend issues across browsers and environments
Build whole platform from scratch
Must have skills
10+ years of Software Development experience
7+ years of React, Redux and Typescript experience
Experience building complex, data-heavy web applications or dashboards
Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component design, and state management
Experience integrating frontend applications with REST and/or GraphQL APIs
Hands-on experience with modern frontend tooling (Tailwind, Webpack, npm/yarn)
Strong knowledge of browser fundamentals, performance optimization, and security best practices
Experience implementing authentication flows (OAuth/OIDC, JWT-based sessions)
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
Knowledge of Tailwind CSS and Webpack
Experience with building frontend for AI agents
Experience with Coding CoPilots(Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, AWS Whisperer, Codex, etc.)
Experience supporting production SaaS platforms
Ability to build things from scratch at early stage startup
High ownership mentality, startup mindset, and ability to move quickly
Experience in startup or scale-up environments
Proven ability to design and ship complex distributed systems
Low ego, high commitment, and a true tech startup mentality
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
Excellent English communication skills
Nice-to-have requirements
Familiarity with data visualization libraries (ECharts, Recharts, Chart.js, or D3.js)
Familiarity with design systems and component libraries
Experience with frontend testing frameworks (Cypress, Jest, etc.)
Exposure to cybersecurity, identity, or enterprise SaaS products
Experience with performance monitoring tools (Sentry, OpenTelemetry)
Knowledge of RBAC/ABAC or fine-grained access models
Experience designing permission models, identity graphs, or access control frameworks
Knowledge of Zero Trust principles, least privilege, and continuous verification
Ability to design secure distributed systems and define clear service boundaries
Hands-on ability to build PoCs and technically validate implementation decisions
Experience with Security related to AI/LLM systems, agent logic, or willingness to learn fast
Previous experience in cybersecurity, identity startups
You are a fan of rock or metal music
Excellent German communication skills
