NOTE IF YOU RESIDE ABROAD: THIS POSITION REQUIRES MANDATORY RELOCATION TO VIENNA, AUSTRIA. FOLLOWING AN INITIAL 3-4 MONTH PERIOD OF FULLY REMOTE COOPERATION, THE ROLE TRANSITIONS TO A HYBRID, ON-SITE WORK MODEL BASED IN VIENNA.
Your role & responsibilities
Design and implement end-to-end AI workflows integrated into real business processes Build and maintain Python-based AI systems (LLMs, embeddings, retrieval, orchestration) Work with large, heterogeneous datasets (ERP data, emails, documents, APIs, files) Design and manage vectorization pipelines and retrieval strategies Trace, monitor, and debug LLM calls, prompts, outputs, and failures Define and enforce quality, reliability, and evaluation standards for AI outputs Collaborate closely with product, business, and tech stakeholders Decide when AI is the right tool -- and when it is not Document architectures, trade-offs, and decisions clearly and pragmaticallyRequirements
Strong hands-on experience with Python in production environments Experience building systems with LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, open-source models, etc.) Solid understanding of embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval patterns Experience with prompting, evaluation, tracing, and output quality control Ability to design AI systems that are robust, explainable, and maintainable Comfort working with ERP data and Microsoft systems Product mindset: you care about outcomes, not just models High sense of ownership and responsibility for system behavior Clear and structured communication; able to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders Persistence, curiosity, and motivation to learn Experience integrating AI into real business workflows is a strong plusBenefits
