About this role
What We're BuildingOur startup (currently in Stealth) is an AI native, all-in-one data platform. Customers ingest and model all of their data, build free-form reporting, and ask and answer complex questions all without leaving the platform.
It’s early. We have paying customers, and the product is evolving fast.
The RoleAs a Forward Deployed Analyst, you'll play a key role in making sure implementations are successful. You'll onboard new customers, build out their data models and dashboards, and make sure they're getting value from the platform. You'll also provide a critical voice back to our product and engineering team – every customer engagement surfaces what's working, what's broken, and what we should build next.
This is a technical, hands-on role but it's also customer-facing – you'll be in Slack and on calls with customers, answering questions and occasionally chasing down the Google Sheet or metric definition you need to unblock the work.
What You'll DoOnboard new customers – connect their data sources, build out initial models, stand up dashboardsWrite clean SQL models in the platforms data layer (similar to dbt) and help maintain our standardized documentation.Build dashboards and reports that customers actually use and trustRespond to customer questions in Slack – troubleshoot issues, answer "why does this number look wrong," unblock peopleGather requirements from customers – sometimes this means chasing down spreadsheets, getting metric definitions finalized, or pushing for clarity when things are vagueSurface product feedback – you'll be at the edges of what the platform can and can't do, and your input will directly shape the roadmapRequirements
Who This Is ForThis role is a fit if:
You have 2+ years of experience in analytics, BI, data, or a technical customer-facing roleYou're solid in SQL – you can write and debug queries without hand-holdingYou're excited about AI and want to work on a product that's building AI into the core of how people interact with their dataYou're excited about early-stage products – you'd rather figure things out and find creative workarounds than wait for a perfect solutionYou're organized and persistent – the "herding cats" part of this job (collecting info from customers, pinning down definitions) requires follow-through
