Your ideas are our fuel.</p> <p>The FBW & Secondary Flight Control Engineering team, and the business, requires a rigorous and disciplined Section Chief who has product, process, and practical application experience to ensure sustaining program or preparing for the challenges and demands of the future (Ecojet).<br> </p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H3 style="margin:0.0px"><b>What are your contributions to the team?</b></H3> </div><div><ul> <li>Lead a section of the FBW & Secondary Flight Control Team to distribute the work and drive to expected results.</li> <li>Participate directly in the design supported by the team and provide expert support to other Business units.</li> <li>Participate in manpower planning activities, in budget preparation and will be accountable for managing financial resources.</li> <li>Perform employees’ PMP and make salary recommendations.</li> <li>Participates in the recruitment and integration of new employees.</li> <li>Participate in employees’ development and coaching.</li> <li>Develop good working relationship with various departments within Bombardier and with all suppliers.</li> <li>Create / enable a positive and collaboratives team environment and take concrete steps / actions to keep high level of engagement within the team.</li> <li>Analyze complex problems, organize investigations. </li> <li>Make decisions and recommendations on complex technical issues autonomously and sets priorities on mid to long term range.</li> <li>Propose solution to unusual problems and approve modifications to designs where concepts have been approved at higher level.</li> <li>Occasional trips to the Suppliers facilities and Regulatory Authorities, as well as other Bombardier sites.<br> </li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H3 style="margin:0.0px"><b>How to thrive in this role?</b></H3> </div><div><ul> <li>You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in, Aerospace Engineering and have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in aerospace related field. An MBA will be an asset.</li> <li>You have been directly involved in the definition and certification of at least one Flight-By-Wire system.</li> <li>You possess an excellent understanding of all facets of system definition, integration, and certification and have a good knowledge of aircraft systems and interfaces (e.g. electrical, hydraulic, avionics, auto-flight, ).</li> <li>You have good knowledge of Part 25 certification process.</li> <li>You have experience in DAL A software development following guidance from ARP4754, DO178, and hardware software interaction for FBW controllers (or similar complex system)</li> <li>Management experience with direct reports will be an asset.</li> <li>You have good knowledge of MS Office </li> </ul> <p>Soft skills: </p> <ul> <li>You have excellent oral presentation and technical writing skills in English are required (French is an asset).</li> <li>You demonstrate Bombardier leadership competencies which are: building effective team, providing Direction, driving for success, engendering confidence & trust, and leading change.</li> <li>You must also show initiative, innovation, a strong sense of responsibility and integrity, adaptability, have good interpersonal communication skills, have a good engineering judgement.<br> </li> </ul> </div></div></div><p>Please note: You don’t need all the skills, knowledge, and experience listed for this position!
