The position will work closely with the FINSOL Senior Structuring and Modeling actuary as well as the business development team on new opportunities.</p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><strong>About the role:</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Model and price financial reinsurance solutions understanding the risk parameters</li> <li>Build pricing models analyzing the risk and profitability of life reinsurance solutions: <ul> <li>Organize, evaluate and analyze the data needed for transactions</li> </ul> </li> <li>Contribute to deal execution including responding to RFPs and assist in authoring internal approval memorandums</li> <li>Assist in preparing and presenting internal and external presentations on life reinsurance topics as required</li> </ul> </div> </div> <div> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <div> <p><strong>Technical Skills:</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Proficient in building MS-Excel models taking projected balance sheet and income statements into transaction specific models</li> <li>Actuarial Modeling experience (i.e. AXIS modeling) </li> <li>Strong actuarial background working on US life insurance / reinsurance transactions; pricing, valuation or financial reporting</li> <li>Knowledge of US statutory accounting standards and financial reporting is advantageous</li> <li>Prior experience working on financial solution transactions would be advantageous</li> <li>Actuarial Modeling experience (i.e. AXIS modeling) would be advantageous</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Behavioral Competencies:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Comfortable in a client facing capacity as well as working in a dynamic and fast paced environment</li> <li>Great communication, strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Will be an individual contributor required to complete tasks vs delegating responsibilities </li> <li>Enjoys working in a strong and cooperative team environment</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Work Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Qualified life actuary (FSA, FIA or career ASA) with at least 5 years of relevant experience</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Education:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Professional Qualifications or Designations:</strong></p> <ul> <li>FSA/FIA or career ASA</li> </ul> </div> </div><h2> </h2> <h2><strong>Additional Information</strong></h2> <p> </p> <h1 style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">#LI-Hybrid:</span></h1> <p> </p> <p style="text-align:justify">PartnerRe provides a working environment in which diversity is valued, where all employees feel welcome, respected, and empowered to perform at their best.
