The tech stack is primarily React, TypeScript, and related tools. The ideal candidate has great people management skills and loads of experience within the React ecosystem.</span></span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style=""><span><span style="">As an engineering manager you will be responsible for two cross-functional, agile teams consisting of about 10-20 great people in total. Your job will be to ensure that the people are motivated and productive, that the teams are using solid engineering processes and practices, such as CI/CD, and deliver well-engineered products to the global insurance market.</span></span></span></p> <p><span style=""><span><span style="">Your tasks will, among others, include:</span></span></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span style=""><span><span style="">Define goals for the teams in collaboration with product management.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span><span style="">Implement engineering practices and guidelines.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span><span style="">Handle impediments escalated by the agile teams.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span><span style="">Help people in your teams grow through coaching and feedback.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span><span style="">Nurture a positive team morale through team building events and celebrating successes.</span></span></span></li> <li> </li> </ul> <p><span style=""><span><span style="">You will work closely with the other members of the R&amp;D management team, including product management.</span></span></span></p> <p><span style=""><span><span style="">You will either be working out of our Virum or Copenhagen (Vestergade) office. As your teams consist of people from both Denmark and Lithuania, you should expect a limited amount of travel between our offices when traveling is permitted again.</span></span></span></p> <p><span style=""><span><span style="">Your competencies include those listed below:</span></span></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span style=""><span><span style="">A bachelor’s degree (or similar) in computer science or software engineering.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span><span style="">Demonstrated experience with managing engineering teams.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span><span style="">Developer experience with React, Angular, or Vue.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span><span style="">Hands-on experience with modern engineering practices, such as CI/CD.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span><span style="">Interest and ability to continuously learn new things within software engineering; in particular, within frontend technologies.</span></span></span></li> <li> </li> </ul> <p><span style=""><span><span style="">As a person you want to be part of a workplace that is ambitious and wants to achieve great things, but at the same time respect people and want them to excel in their roles.</span></span></span></p>
