The ideal candidate has great people management skills and tons of experience with modern engineering practices, such as CI/CD and security vulnerability scanning. As an engineering manager you will be responsible for two cross-functional, agile teams consisting of about 15-20 great people in total. Your job will be to ensure that the people are motivated and productive, that the teams are using solid engineering processes and practices, such as CI/CD and API best practices, and deliver well-engineered products to the global insurance market. The tech stack is based on Oracle Database, PL/SQL, Oracle ADF (JSF), Java, and Spring Boot. Your tasks will - among others - include: <ul> <li>Define goals for the teams in collaboration with product management.</li> <li>Implement engineering practices and guidelines.</li> <li>Handle impediments escalated by the agile teams.</li> <li>Help people in your teams grow through coaching and feedback.</li> <li>Nurture a positive team morale through team building events and celebrating successes.</li> </ul> You will report directly to the CTO and work closely with the other members of the R&D management team, including product management.
