<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>In this role, you take on a central responsibility for risk management in energy trading. You ensure that our power and gas portfolios are managed transparently, in a controlled manner, and in line with the group‑wide defined risk appetite across multiple countries.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Your responsibilities include:</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><strong>Risk Monitoring</strong>: Monitor commodity, market, credit, and operational risks for power, gas, and certificates (GOs, VERs, biomethane, EUA2), including daily management of clearing accounts.</li> <li><strong>Reporting & Dashboards:</strong> Develop and maintain exposure reports and dashboards for real-time risk insights.</li> <li><strong>Analysis & Testing</strong>: Perform stress tests, scenario analyses, and backtesting to assess potential losses and treasury impacts.</li> <li><strong>Risk Modelling</strong>: Model and control risk parameters (spot, balancing energy, hedging, volatility, margin) and validate the price forward curve.</li> <li><strong>Process Optimization</strong>: Develop models and processes to enhance risk control.</li> <li>Compliance & Controls: Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., REMIT, MiFIR, MiFID) and oversee limits, trading controls, and escalation protocols.</li> <li><strong>Performance Assessment</strong>: Assess risk-adjusted performance (VaR, Margin-at-Risk, P&L attribution).</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Profile</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Education & Experience:</strong> Degree in Finance, Economics, Math (or similar) + several years of risk management experience within energy trading (power & gas).</li> <li><strong>Technical Expertise:</strong> Strong knowledge of VaR, Margin-at-Risk, stress testing, data modelling, and system integration.</li> <li><strong>Tools & Skills:</strong> Proficient in risk software/data tools with strong analytical and decision-making skills.</li> <li><strong>Languages & Collaboration:</strong> Fluent in English and German with excellent teamwork abilities.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Further Information</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li><strong>Work Location:</strong> By individual agreement, the workplace can be located either in <strong>Osterrönfeld</strong> (Albert-Betz-Straße 1, 24783), <strong>Hamburg-Harburg</strong> (Harburger Schloßstraße 24, 21079), or <strong>Fredericia, Denmark</strong> (Ballesvej 2, 7000).</li> </ul>
