This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and analytical skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style=""><strong><u>Essential Functions:</u></strong></span></p> <ul> <li style=""><span style="">Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reports, consistently meeting monthly reporting deadlines.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Communicate performance variances to management promptly and effectively.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Clearly articulate assumptions and rationale during discussions and presentations.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Maintain well-documented assumptions taken in Estimate to Complete (ETC) reports, stored in designated shared drives.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style=""><strong><u>Knowledge:</u></strong></span></p> <ul> <li style=""><span style="">Project Accounting for Short Term Projects, or Long Term Projects that are classified as Non-Critical, or in the Warranty/Close Out Phase:</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Perform accounting tasks for projects within portfolio.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Tracks project budgets and expenditures, and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Support project managers in monitoring project financial performance.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Works with project team on cash management of project, including booking invoices and updating cash forecasts.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Assist the project team to prepare financial reports and presentations to support the Management Project Review Cycle.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Prepares financial reports and presentations related to projects to support the Finance Project Review Cycle.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style=""><strong><u>Experience</u></strong></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li style=""><span style="">Ensure completeness of timesheets at month end.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Maintain a monthly gap hours file and provide recommendation in terms of hours accrual.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Reconcile hours between the time/attendance system and the ERP.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Run monthly cost center actuals vs budget reports, coordinate monthly cost centers meetings with cost centers owners.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Gather comments from department heads on personnel low utilization.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Administrative Tasks:</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Oversee the maintenance and updating of process documents related to project finance, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Run bi-weekly cash review sessions with Project Directors and Senior Finance Project manager.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Assist in the organization and upkeep of project files, both physical and digital.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Provide general administrative support to the finance project team.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Responsible for new project set-up and hand off to FPM and project team.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Responsible for closeout of projects as assigned.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Handle other special assignments and projects as assigned by management.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Month End preparation tasks and downloading of month end financials from ERP system.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style=""><strong><u>Skills:</u></strong></span></p> <ul> <li style=""><span style="">Accounting Skills: Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (SAP preferred) and MS Office, especially Excel.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and propose solutions related to project finances.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style=""><strong><u>Education:</u></strong></span></p> <ul> <li style=""><span style="">Associate&apos;s or bachelor&apos;s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">1-5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably with exposure to project-based accounting.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p><p><span style="">The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Rochester, NY is<span style="background-color:white"> $65 to $95K per ye</span>ar. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry and education. Knorr Bremse is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations.
