About this role
<p>We are looking for an <strong>Automation Engineer </strong>willing to join our <strong>Automation Downstream Team</strong> to develop the most performing automation model, taking into consideration contract requirement but also to standardize the functions developed.</p> <p><strong>You</strong><strong> </strong><strong>will carry on the following activities:</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Identify contractual requirements in order to develop the optimization system (L2) software.</li> <li>Participate and contribute to technical meetings with customer both during proposal and during project execution.</li> <li>Follow up suppliers during project execution.</li> <li>Plan and participate to the optimization system (L2) test phase ''in house'' as well as to commission the system on site.</li> <li>Constantly research new methods to enhance performances of the optimization system (L2).</li> <li>Develop and implement automation (Level 2) for process lines, furnaces and rolling mills.</li> <li>Implement new industry 4.0-facing capabilities in industrial automation. </li> <li>Collaborate with other Level 2 team members and stakeholders.</li> <li>Remain updated to latest IT technical solutions.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Required profile:</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>A Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering, Electronics or Automation Engineering;</li> <li>A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the role in companies in the steel sector or in highly complex industrial automation plants is preferred;</li> <li>Familiarity with Visual Studio IDE and GIT for code management;</li> <li>Knowledge of C#, Javascript and Database SQL Server/Oracle;</li> <li>Knowledge of Python is a plus;</li> <li>Knowledge of Networking;</li> <li>English, both written and spoken is necessary;</li> <li>Willingness to worldwide travel;</li> <li>Proactivity, flexibility, good communication, interpersonal and team working skills.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Workplace: Genova</strong></p>
