<p>Bouygues Energies & Services - Power Generation Division </p><p> </p> <p><strong>Bouygues Energies & Services </strong>(part of Equans) has a fantastic opportunity available for a <strong>Care & Maintenance (C&M) Technician </strong>to be based from the <strong>Hinkley Point C</strong> site in <strong>Bridgwater.</strong> <strong> </strong></p> <p> </p> <p>The role offers a unique opportunity for an <strong>electrical </strong>or <strong>mechanical</strong> engineer, with maintenance experience, to work on one of the most exciting projects out there! We have been awarded a Turn-key EPC contract for the <strong>Hinkley Point C (HPC)</strong> new-build nuclear power plant <strong>Emergency Diesel Generators</strong>. </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Job Purpose:</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Execute the C&M activities on stored and installed UK5211 assets.</li> <li>Assist C&M Engineer in planning and coordinating the C&M activities on all storage locations and HPC site. Storage locations are Bridgwater, Avonmouth and Gloucester, so some travel will be required.</li> <li>Produce C&M report on executed work as per plan and procedures.</li> <li>Responsible for organising C&M tool, equipment and consumables stocks. Ensure Genset Storage facility at Avonmouth is kept clean, tidy and organised</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>The Role: </strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Support the C&M Engineer in the execution of Care and Maintenance activities on stored and installed UK5211 assets according to developed C&M plans and procedures.</li> <li>Responsible for producing detailed and accurate C&M reports based on executed work and submitting on a monthly basis.</li> <li>Support the line management in developing and maintaining up-to-date site/assets management tools and execution documentation (C&M database, RAMS, plans, procedures…)</li> <li>Assist C&M Engineer in coordinating and supervising site operations execution (including Care and Maintenance activities). Interface with site construction team on C&M matters and working rules.</li> <li>Maintain the C&M tools and stores at Avonmouth, supporting the C&M Engineer in maintaining accurate tool and parts stock levels. Ensure tools and stores are properly organised and kept clean and tidy.</li> <li>Gain all required competence & H&S certificates and HPC site tickets. Act as Incident Controllers, Permit Holder for identified Site activities.</li> <li>Provide inputs, as required, to Management to create a detailed erection/installation strategy and plan.</li> <li>Liaise with offsite warehouses to plan monthly C&M visits for stored UK5211 assets.</li> <li>Ensure that the Health and Safety plan is followed with respect to NNB operational requirements in safety standards and the master construction phase plan.</li> <li>Act as a lead for the sub-contracted installation teams for execution of C&M activities.</li> <li>Ensure proper quality control processes are followed as per the standards for Site Activities (procedure adherence, proper installation report such as FUD). </li> <li>Provide regular update reports and inputs to Management for C&M progress and installation KPIs.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>The person will ideally have:</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Relevant mechanical or electrical engineering qualifications and practical experience.</li> <li>Experience working in a construction or industrial site environment, e.g. Power, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Water/ Wastewater.</li> <li>Use of Microsoft IT systems. E.g.
