We are currently recruiting for 2 positions: <span>Earthworks senior engineer and Civil Works senior engineer</span> </h1> <p>Rail Baltica is a greenfield rail transport infrastructure project aiming to integrate the Baltic States into the European rail network. The project involves five European Union countries: Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and indirectly Finland. It will connect Helsinki, Tallinn, Pärnu, Riga, Panevėžys, Kaunas, Vilnius, and Warsaw. The Baltic part of the project is referred to as the <em>Rail Baltica Global Project</em>.</p> <h2>Main Facts About the Project</h2> <ul> <li>The largest Baltic-region infrastructure project in the last 100 years</li> <li>A 10-year construction period</li> <li>Designed for both passenger and freight traffic</li> <li>Total length: 870 km (including 213 km in Estonia)</li> <li>Environmentally friendly: powered by electricity, with reduced noise and vibration</li> <li>Maximum speed: <ul> <li>249 km/h for passenger trains</li> <li>120 km/h for freight trains</li> </ul> </li> <li>More than €5 billion invested in the region</li> <li>Implemented by Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania</li> <li>Part of the EU’s North Sea–Baltic TEN-T corridor</li> <li>Financed by the EU (CEF), Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania</li> <li>Provides intermodality and multimodality</li> <li>Ensures full interoperability and completion of the wider North Sea–Baltic transport corridor by 2030, while aiming to commence operations on certain sections by 2028</li> </ul> <h2>Alliances Objectives</h2> <p>The primary goal of the Alliances is to complete the infrastructure subsystem within the planned timeframe, including all enabling and auxiliary works from Ülemiste to the Estonian–Latvian border.</p> <h3>Main Components of the Infrastructure Subsystem</h3> <ul> <li>Substructure</li> <li>Superstructure</li> <li>Structures</li> <li>Drainage</li> <li>Railway station infrastructure: <ul> <li>Platforms</li> <li>Underpasses and overpasses</li> <li>Related systems and utilities</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h2>Rail Baltica in Estonia</h2> <p>The total length of the Rail Baltica railway in Estonia is 213 km and is divided into three Design Sections (DS):</p> <ul> <li><strong>DS1:</strong> Rapla–Tootsi</li> <li><strong>DS2:</strong> Tallinn–Rapla</li> <li><strong>DS3:</strong> Tootsi–Estonian/Latvian border</li> </ul> <p>Design Section DS3 consists of three Design Priority Sections (DPS):</p> <ul> <li><strong>DS3-DPS1:</strong> 36.66 km</li> <li><strong>DS3-DPS2:</strong> 45.32 km</li> <li><strong>DS3-DPS3:</strong> 12.68 km</li> </ul> <h2>Alliance Sections</h2> <p>The project is divided into two Alliance sections:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Alliance 1:</strong> Ülemiste–Pärnu — 142.13 km</li> <li><strong>Alliance 2:</strong> Pärnu–Estonian/Latvian border — 58.1 km</li> </ul> <p> </p> <h2>Alliance 2 Scope</h2> <p>The objective of Alliance 2 is to design and build the Rail Baltica railway from Pärnu to the Estonian–Latvian border within the planned timeframe.</p> <p>The Alliance 2 contract covers the Design Priority Sections DPS2 and DPS3. This includes the complete design and construction of the railway network from Pärnu to Ikla (Latvian border).</p> <p>DIREEECT JV has been awarded the Alliance 2 contract.
